Songs From a New Place

‘Songs from a New Place’ recognises the effects on my writing of moves from Tasmania to other parts of Australia after the mid-90s. as well as the emotional changes I’ve experienced over these 20 years. It’s a more or less chronological collection, starting with ones I self-published in & in 1994, and @ in 1996, both of them very slim volumes and now out of print, followed by ones I have written since. A few of them have appeared in anthologies, while others are poems I’m happy with but have not yet been published anywhere. Readers may observe changes in my style and subject over the years – I hope you do, and enjoy the contrast. Or perhaps you will sense a common thread running through them.
